Another page from the challenge. I added all of the families baby pictures onto one page and added alpahbet soup letters to the page so you can guess who is who. Well if you couldn't tell the baby on the top left is my husband, the one on the right is me. The kids on the bottom are as follows: D, R, and C. Does anyone look like me?
Well I completed another monthly challenge! It gets harder every month especially when I had no photos developed. I am trying to get them all developed and not done for the retreat at the end of May. This is a picture of me when I was four at my aunts wedding. I am standing with my three great grandmothers. 2 from my mothers side and 1 from my fathers side. I grew up knowing 2 of them which is a privilege. Not many children grow these days knowing their grandparents alone their great grandparents. I am thankful that I was allowed to know them. I just wish they were still here to share in their wise ways.
This is what my kids have done all four days that we have been home. Two of the days was because schools were shut done for 2 cases found in Madison City. The other two days was the weekend. We went out on a few occasions to shop for D's Birthday which is Tuesday, but other wise we stayed home and they played on the playstation and in the mud. Yes I was a nice mom and told them to play in the rain. The got on old clothes and played chase in the yard. They had a great time slipping and slidding all ovre the place. I had to wash muddy clothes but was doing laundry any way so why not! We don't get many fun days like this!
Out in our front yard we have a tree that has a birds nest. D and his friend J came upon the eggs hatching. I have shots of the first bird hatching from peck on the egg to him opening up. I never realized how ugly and transparent birds are when they are born. I couldn't put him on he's so ugle. This is what the birds look like only 2 weeks later. I cant believe how fast feathers grow on birds. They have not begun to learn to fly yet, but it might stop raining soon so they don't have to hide from the drops. The kids wanted to put an umbrella over them to keep them dry but dear old mom daid no. such a party pooper!
During spring break my mom took us to the Botanical Gardens to see the Bugs. Well it was okay. Not all flowers were in bloom or planted and the butterflies were not in the butterfly house yet. We got exercise walking around and got some good pictures for the scrap booking that I do. Thanks mom! Don't you just love us with Frog and Toad?
This is a photo of one of the baby eagles in a nest in Scotsboro. There was two babies. I sat on the ground for a while watching the eagles and while I was there the momma eagle came flying up to feed the babies. Iu could even see the food hanging from her claws. It was the neatest thing I have seen in the wild. I wish someday to sit in a field and take pictures of deer and other animals.
My Mother in law and us went to Scotssboro to visit a family member whom had this swing in his back yard. The kids had a great time. I thought it would be great to get a pic of us three swinging. Well one swing and snap! The swing snapped in half....I guess it was trying to tell me something. Too heavy! I loved the pic. I am always behind the camera so it was nice to be in front for a change. We also went to the lake and got a great shot of an eagles nest. I got great shots and will post them next.
I am a preschool teacher/subsitute teacher. I have been scrpabooking for about 12 years now and love creating pages on all the fun and not so fun things we do. I finally decided to start one of these blog things to show how much fun I enjoy creating things. Sometimes they come out great then sometimes the vision is better in the head then on paper.
